Never Doubt Your Worth

We hold a power
That no body can break
A distinctive talent
That no one can take

Let’s stop paying heed
To what people have to say
The path to our dreams
Only we can carve the way

We’re valiant and brave
Let’s stand tall and proud
To the person in the mirror
Let’s say it out loud

Within our struggles
The battles we fight
Nothing in the world
Can ever dim our light

A branch about to break
Isn’t the worry for a bird
For her trust is in her wings
And not on the world

Why do we follow people
To the places they go?
Why do we say yes
When we want to say no?

The dispiriting words of others
We must learn to ignore
For our mind is the one thing
We solely have and can control

  2. Sabias palabras enlazadas en poesía; palabras que alientan el Alma de cada cual; es el Alma quien inspira a nuestra Intuición; es a ésta a quien debemos aprender a escuchar.

    Translation:

Wise words linked in poetry; words that encourage the Soul of each one; it is the Soul that inspires our Intuition; it is to this we must learn to listen.

  5. Boom ~ your first stanza hit it perfectly: “We hold a power, That no body can break, A distinctive talent, That no one can take…” There is a great Native American Indian quote from the Crow Tribe which blends into your words so well: “You already possess everything necessary to become great.”

  6. Saania……….. You have to be who God made you to be,and the opinions of others is just that AN OPINION God doesn’t make mistakes and your gifts and talents are unique to you. Your poetry is absolutely beautiful,a talent unfortunately I do not have. Your post “My dazzling life” transported me to places I’ve never been….NOW THAT’S A TALENT!God Bless you.
